Who are Salumeria Fontana?
In 2006 Greg Scopas established the Salumeria Fontana olive press on their small family run olive grove in the picturesque Hoteo North Valley on Auckland's Northern boundary. Here he produces many fine single estate extra virgin olive oils in the true artisan tradition by paying careful attention to harvesting, centrifugal cold pressed extraction and filtering to produce interesting and refined New Zealand made extra virgin olive oil full of freshness and flavour.
